Fish Hunters
Gameboard
Fish Hunters is an original game concept developed and designed by LizBiz Designs, including a game board, playing pieces, cards and more! Starting with research after brain-storming a game idea, the layout of the board and the graphics for it was sketched out. During the designing phase, a challenege discovered was that the initial board design allowed for movement in any direction, but as the game developed, movement needed to flow in only one direction to support game play. To resolve this, the inital path structure was changed to better support movement in one direction.
Game Pieces
To support game-play, a deck of draw cards was needed, along side square cards used to hold the fish you would gain during play. The cards were created using Adobe Illustrator. Playing pieces were also needed and were created using polymer clay. The Instructions were drafted up and created in Adobe Indesign
With all the pieces together and layed out with the gameboard, the game is able to be played.
Packaging
The next step in creating a game from the ground up, was to then design the packaging that would fit the game-board and all the supporting game-play pieces. A challenge while designing the packaging was to plan for all the pieces to fit into the packaging while keeping the packaging as small as possible to save on cost of material.
E-commerce App
The app mock up for Fish Hunters was designed in Figma. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop template mock ups, merch was able to be created to fill out the app and make it feel more real.
Promotional Document
Using Adobe Indesign, a pdf document was designed to showcase a more indepth design process for the game and it's pieces.
